Film, Game, and Lo-Fi Composer

Kevin Chen is a versatile composer based in Boston, known for his ability to craft captivating soundscapes across various mediums. With a diverse portfolio spanning animations, short films, and indie games, Kevin's work resonates with audiences through its emotive storytelling and immersive musical arrangements.

His collaborations include notable projects such as Passengers, an atmospheric animation short depicting the journey of a traveler; Strong Links, a tense narrative featuring a girl saved by a dragon; and San Zhu You, a poignant exploration of familial dynamics in a short film.

Currently, Kevin is lending his talents to Garden Cat, an upcoming animation short following the adventures of a whimsical feline, while also serving as the sound designer for Sprouts of Memory, an indie planting game showcasing his diverse expertise.
Kevin's musical journey began at an early age in a musical household, where he began learning classical piano at four years old. His passion for music led him to complete the Royal Conservatory of Music’s ARCT level with first-class honors by the age of fourteen.

Following his passion, Kevin pursued a double major in Film Scoring and Game Scoring at Berklee College of Music, where he was awarded a world tour scholarship. Currently in his eighth semester, Kevin continues to expand his musical repertoire, blending influences from his Chinese heritage and Canadian upbringing into his compositions.
